Scientists listened to fish and found a volcano(火山). It is eight thousand feet tall. But it is on the floor of the ocean off the northeast coast of New Zealand. There the water is nine thousand feet deep; it hides the volcano from view.
If it hadn’t been for the scientists, we still might not know of the volcano. These men were recording underwater noises. Most of these noises are made by fish. But the scientists heard a strange rumbling(隆隆声). They felt that no fish could make this sound, so they pulled instruments through the water and found the volcano.
